Working Together for Success in 2008

Today, BASF Turf & Ornamental is focused on being the market leader and preferred choice for its end users and distribution partners.

To reach this goal, we have a focus on objectives and clear metrics. And in the last several years T&O has made huge strides among its customers by expanding its product portfolio.

In 2008, while continuing to focus on the performance of our current portfolio, we will also launch seven new products. Two of these are exclusive to turf, three are exclusive to ornamentals, and two have applications in both turf and ornamentals.

For turf professionals, BASF is expanding its herbicide portfolio with Segment ™, Drive® XLR8 and Onetime™ herbicides.

Segment, available now, is a selective post grass control product for landscape beds and selective turfgrasses.

Drive XLR8, is a new liquid formulation of Drive® 75 DF herbicide and Onetime is a three-way liquid herbicide that combines Drive XLR8 with two other popular broadleaf chemistries.

Both Drive XLR8 and Onetime will be available in 2Q of this year.

In addition, FreeHand™ 1.75 G herbicide will be another BASF preemergent option for landscape plantings. FreeHand combines the new active ingredient dimethenamid-p with the reliable activity of pendimethalin. This herbicide is expected to be granted EPA approval in Q2 2008.

It all adds up to a great deal of activity for us involved in the T&O business and great benefits for turf professionals.

I wouldn’t want it any other way.

Thank you.
