I just want to talk about the week at Farmlinks. Fred Eckert and I spent the first half of the week together and then I had a group of 21 come in the last half of the week. I will admit that it is truly a great experience! I can not believe that there are that many truly nice people in the South who really enjoy their jobs at Farmlinks (outside of BASF of course). The staff is so down to earth, wonderful, helpful and really nice. It seems the South is really a great place to live.
As a side note, I was able to spend the week with Brian Thompson. He is going to fit in so well with the FarmLinks team. He will do BASF proud. He has the knowledge, capacity to learn our products, excellent understanding of a superintendent's job and is a great person.
I did do a lot of fishing with customers. We caught a lot of big Bass.
Phil and I think this was around 5 -5.5 lbs…not like the small Bass Fred refers too in his weekly—just poken' fun, Fred.
Fred and I were successful in educating the group the first half of the week. Fred did a nice job with a Fairy Ring talk and I gave an abridged version of the FarmLinks talk.
The FarmLinks staff upgraded all the TV's downstairs. There is a 60 inch high definition plasma in the middle of the downstairs, two 42 inch plasmas in the game room and another 50 inch plasma in the conference room that is hooked to a Nintendo Wii. It is AWESOME! The conference room TV is also hooked to power point so when you give a presentation and it goes thru new speakers that are in the ceiling.
Thanks for reading and be safe!
