Stone Mountain Golf Club in Atlanta, Ga., and TurfNet recently honored a 12-year-old canine course veteran for his excellence in geese chasing, tail wagging and companionship. Cushman, a Labrador retriever mix that also answers to his nickname, ‘The Wonder Dog,' is a valued member of the Stone Mountain staff. His responsibilities include wildlife traffic control, guest relations, environmental outreach and retrieval of feathered objects from aquatic areas. He received this award in conjunction with his appearance in the 2009 Superintendent's Best Friend Calendar which is sponsored by BASF Turf & Ornamentals. Watch the video below to see Cushman accept his award!
