Well it's been a while since the last update of the PA/NJ region. So here goes.
Week April 19-24: FarmLinks and NASCAR
Two groups into FarmLinks this week. First group was Supers from North Jersey brought together by several folks from Grass Roots. Most of the group had not been to FarmLinks prior to this trip so there was good interaction and lots of fun. Once again, Mr. Thompson did an excellent job in both presenting the information and positioning the products so these guys could actually see opportunities where they would fit their programs. Thank you, Brian. We also had several opportunities to play some golf together as the weather was simply fantastic.
Next group in was five golf Supers for Race weekend. Rained most of the time with the exception of Sunday, race day. My first visit to a NASCAR event and what a race. Decided by 11 one hundredth's of a second. On a positive note personally, these guys all invited me to play cards (first time for me in this) and most likely won't ask again, as I took them all for some of their wares.
Week of May 3-7: Rutgers turfgrass golf classic fundraiser
Rutgers Scholarship golf tournament with Rich Kalik and Ted Huhn as part of one of 3 teams we had in the event. Mostly a good weather day, but got to spend a little time with many people in one place. Reception was nice as well.
Weather is all over the place. 84 Tues and Weds, but will only be 59 on Sunday. Sports spotlight of the month: O's sweeping the series from the "City of Champions" Red Sox. I know it's early, but when you are 3-16 prior to that series, you have to pick your moments to gloat.
Happy trails and to all the mothers out there, Happy Mother's Day!!!
