T & O market dynamics in the Pacific Northwest

Warm weather in the PNW has Turf and Ornamental professionals starting to gear up for an early spring. Distributor representatives are cautioning their customers not to start too early.

Ornamental acres are down again in 2011. The annual growers are building greenhouses, and the tree nursery growers are pulling and replanting trees for 2012-2013.

Snow mold damaging turfgrass

grass2.jpgThe winter weather in the West has the snow mold growing wild. With the loss of PCNB, turf managers have tried all snow mold products for replacement with reports of failures coming in every day, especially in the Spokane area. In progress – California registration of Insignia® SC Intrinsic™ brand fungicide

I am looking forward to Insignia SC Intrinsic brand fungicide being registered in California during late spring or summer of this year. This new liquid formulation will provide turf managers with exceptional broad-spectrum disease control and plant health benefits, including stress management of drought/moisture, temperature extremes and mechanical stress, such as aerification.
