Meet the BASF Professional Turf & Ornamentals Technical Specialists – Kathie Kalmowitz, Ph.D., Kyle Miller and Todd Burkdoll – in BASF booth 1860, see what turf disease control and plant health looks like, and hear the supporting research first-hand.

Meet Kathie Kalmowitz, Technical Specialist – Southern U.S.

For nearly a decade, Kathie has worked closely with BASF customers, university cooperators and industry consultants to address regional T&O issues and technical solutions. She has a master’s degree in Ornamental Horticulture from Clemson University and a doctorate in Horticultural Science from North Carolina State University for research on Poa annua control in golf course turfgrass.

Meet Kyle Miller, Senior Technical Specialist – Northeast and Midwest U.S.

Kyle has built a reputation for committed service during his 25-plus years helping customers meet turf and ornamentals challenges. He works closely with universities and customer trials to bring new solutions to market. He has undergraduate and graduate degrees in Turfgrass Science from Virginia Tech and Auburn University, respectively.

Meet Todd Burkdoll, Technical Specialist – Western U.S.

Todd has provided customer-focused technical support and training for BASF for more than a decade. He works with superintendents and other T&O professionals to develop programs to control diseases, weeds and other pests. Todd has undergraduate and graduate degrees in Plant Science from California State University-Fresno and is a licensed State of California Pest Control Advisor and Qualified applicator.
